Fashion Design Bootcamp: Custom Skirts

Service Description

There are many facets of fashion design. Attendees will spend a 2-day intensive learning how to design, draft patterns, customize textiles, sew, and create skirts that fit their body, personality, and lifestyle. No prior experience required. The session is Wednesday-Thursday, 10am-4pm. Must be 12 years old or older. Will need to bring fabric, instructions for choosing fabric for this project will be provided. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. A menu will be sent from local eateries via email. If you have your own sewing machine that is in good working condition, you may use it. Otherwise, a sewing machine and all necessary tools will be provided. On the Tuesday before the session, we will go to Philadelphia's Fabric Row for you to purchase any fabric or trim you may want to use with my assistance. You will leave with your finished skirt and your custom sloper, which is a skirt template that works specifically for your body that you can use to continue to make skirts of various lengths and styles.
